July Joy

It's July and it should be summer but it's been raining, again. In the garden, the hydrangea and buddleia are loving the extra moisture, 'so much better than a drought', they say. Even with the grey-tinted sky the flowers are bobbing about, celebrating the rain. This is nature's way of reminding us to find joy in every moment, no matter the weather.

The painting is made in an abstracted style with many layers that continue around the deep sides. The canvas is from Winsor & Newton and is 60cm x 60cm with a deep 4cm edge.
